Dr. Kamal has always dedicated himself to service and leadership throughout his career. From a young age, he has committed himself to volunteering, traveling to Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic and San Lucas, Guatemala for mission trips. As a student, he was president of the student body and planned service activities throughout the community. As a practicing orthopaedic surgeon, he has volunteered in Managua, Nicaragua and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and serves on the Volunteer Services Committee of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is also a registered disaster responder through the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
In addition to his service in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Kamal is also an Emerging Leader in the American Orthopaedic Association, and is a member of the Hand Surgery Quality Consortium.
